Hi there,
I just started using ZAMMAD and got some hints, of a rather annoying little thing.
If a customer/client starts using a new e-mail address, they are getting a new Account. If you want to merge them completely, you’ll have to do the following:
- Change the new tickets to the old user.
- Remove the new user
- Remove / Update the e-mail address of the old user.
Also in the same ballpark, i wrote him at “hello@“ and he replied with “office@“ (examples) And now i have for the same person 2 accounts in my system.
Would be nice to merge customers and have optional “e-mail” oder contact possibilities for one person. (Not just an Organisation with multiple departments).
If needed i could take a look at the code. I’m not fluent in Rails, but i used it several years ago and coded since then in php.
Any advise on this? I tried also the search, but apparently no one else has noticed this issue yet. (I work also at a company with a Ticketsystem, where this is missing and makes one hell of a sh*t show for discoverability of tickets from the customers).
Thanks to Ben for pointing me to Zammad and this issue.
